Prepare food in advance, this is the rice cooker step.
Wash the beef and cut it into pieces, add a little light soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt, then add 2 bay leaves/1 star anise/a little Sichuan peppercorns/2 pieces of ginger and a little white pepper.
Add water just enough to cover the surface of the beef, throw it into the electric pressure cooker, and press the cooking button. Just press it once. The rice cooker will show that it will cook for about 39 minutes. Don't worry about it and go out and do your own thing.
(If you like tomato soup with rice, you can add half a cup of water, the sweet and sour taste is super delicious!)
When I get back from work, the beef has been stewed and it's time to start frying it in the pot.
Cut 2-3 tomatoes, heat the tomatoes with oil, add a little salt and sugar.
If you like it sweet, put more sugar; if you like it sweet and sour, put less sugar.
Saute the tomatoes for about 2 minutes, pour the stewed beef into the pot with water, add a little white pepper, cover the pot and simmer over high heat.
Simmer for about 2-3 minutes and see if the soup becomes less. Use starch + water to thicken the gravy. After pouring in the gravy water, continue to cook until the juice is reduced. It looks like the soup you want is achieved. After the juice is done, sprinkle with scallions and serve immediately!
(The beef is already soft enough in the rice cooker, so you don’t need to simmer it with the tomatoes for too long. The tomatoes will be cooked until they are tender)
